Ilsa Mariel
Pilates Instructor and Kids/Teens Yoga Instructor
Ilsa Mariel developed a passion for fitness at a young age. She grew up in Sigonella, Sicily, Italy on a military base, where activity for young kids was limited to sports. She played volleyball, basketball, and ran track and field. This lead to a love of anything fitness related…lifting, boot camp style classes, pilates, boxing, hiking, rebounding, and swimming. Basically If it involves getting her heart rate up, she’s usually in for any activity, and a plus if it’s outdoors! (Just don’t ask her to run!) This evolved into earning a Bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida in Athletic Training. It was in college when she found a love of Pilates and became a certified instructor several years later. Although Pilates is her main passion, she is also a certified Personal Trainer through NASM, along with several smaller certifications involving Youth Exercise, TRX, Rebounding, and Kids & Teens Yoga. Ilsa is a single mother of 3 kids so understanding the importance of implementing a healthy and active lifestyle is a no brainer for her.
